I got in a funk earlier this year and deleted all my past posts and photos. I didn't think anyone would care and besides, that part of my life was over. Turned out that several people said they wished I hadn't. Who would have guessed??
I didn't think anyone would really care to see all of my mundane activities or mindless hobbies so haven't posted for a long time. Turns out, friends and family really do want to know what is going on in my life, so here we go again.
I would love to learn how to energize this site but don't have the time right now to spend on learning. Maybe this winter when the garden is sleeping and Christmas presents are all made and delivered, I will have time to sit down and study this new-age medium. Maybe. I have a stack of quilt tops to quilt!
Add me to the list of people that were sad when you deleted your old posts. :(
ReplyDeleteThere's a weird balance between public blogging and private journaling that's a bit tricky to get right. Right now I'm tipped a little more to the private end so I post stuff on Facebook or on our family site, for only my friends/family to see, and my public blog is going slightly stale as a result. Privacy is a big factor (not that FB gets it right, but for the kinds of stuff I put there, it's not bad). At any rate, it's a time commitment, no doubt about it. But it's lovely to see what's happening in your lives beyond a phone call or two each week.
